What's in my Carry On Bag

Hey guys.

So I’ve recently got back from my trip to North America which was amazing!  I’m pre-writing this post to share with you guys on my flight home.  I’m currently somewhere over wither Washington state or Oregon, I can’t be 100% sure.  My traveling made me want to write a travel post to share with you all.

In this post I’ll be showing you my carry on essentials for long plane trips, so if you have any travel coming up, I’d encourage you to keep reading.

The bag I use for long plane flights can vary but on this trip I’ve used my navy longchamp look-a-like bag.  It’s one of the biggest handbags I own and it fits everything I’m about to show you.  For reference if you’re thinking of buying one it’s the middle size.

I keep a G scrabble piece key chain on this bag to help me identify as mine because navy lonchamp bags are quite common.  This key chain was a present I got for my 14th birthday and I think it’s great.

My phone is undoubtedly the number one essential for me when I’m flying because it has all my music.  My bag has one small pocket with a zipper and my phone stays in there with a couple of spare hair elastics.

I also take my computer with me for long flights.  If I was on a short flight I would just check  it in inside my suitcase but for long flights it can be good to have in my carry on.

I also like to have some work to do while I’m on the plane or in the airport lounge/terminal so I have my personal project folder with me.

The next thing that I keep in my carry on is my planner.  I featured this in my “What I got for Christmas” post so some of you will have already seen it.  Having this with me is really helpful, but I also find that the plane or airport lounge is a good opportunity to update my planner with what I have coming up.

I always have my beats in my carry on because listening to music on a flight is a great way to relax.  Additionally, you can use beats in the headphone socket on lots of international/long-haul flights.

My glasses and sunglasses come on the plane with me whenever I travel.  I have them share a case though because I’ll always be wearing one pair.  My prescription glasses are form Jac + Jack and my sunglasses were bought at Boeing while I was in Seattle, they are the aviator style with blue tinted frames.  I LOVE THEM!

My wallet always comes with me when I fly.  I’ve had my current wallet for a while now.  I got it from Sportsgirl and I love the stripy pattern.  It’s a great size and really practical.

Having a book is a bit of no brainer to me.  The book I’m reading currently is The Lost Tudor Princess by Alison Weir.  On the way over it was a different book, Innocent Traitor, also by Alison Weir (she’s great!)

I then have these two Jack Spade Travel Toiletries bags that I keep in my carry on.  One has travel toiletries in it and in the other I keep electronics chargers and my SD card so I can upload photos to my computer for my blog without having to travel with my whole camera in my carry on.

The final thing in my Longchamp carry on, is my pencil case that has all my stationery in it.  My pencil case is from Kikki K and the special pens I have are all by Acme, as are the ink cartridges that I have with me.  I would usually have a pair of scissors in any pencil case of mine but, as many of you would know, scissors can not be carried onto the plane so I always check a pair of scissors on in my suitcase.

I hope this post has helped some of you get organised for a holiday you have coming up, or just made you more excited for travelling.

Make sure to join or follow my blog for a heads up for when I post.

PS: I just uploaded a what's in my travel bag video to my Youtube Channel so make sure you check that out and subscribe while you're at it:

Winter Warm - Super Easy Makeup Look

Hey guys,

I’m back.  This post is a winter makeup look, that is super easy, takes almost no time and looks natural but flawless.

This BB Cream is great, but a little goes a long way, so I’d encourage you to take it easy when applying it.

The Brush I use for applying my base makeup is always this Sportsgirl Kabuki Brush.  It’s a great brush that is super affordable!  I think it sells for just $12.95!!

For my Eye shadow I’m using this MAC Brownluxe palette.  For my lid I’ve chosen the top colour which is a shimmery white.  I’ve then used the second shade, a matte brown, in my crease.  For a slightly more shimmery look I’d recommend using the shimmery gold colour as it has a beautiful texture and finish.

The mascara I’ve chosen is the Body Shop Divide and Multiply Mascara in the shade Brown.  This is my go to mascara and I think it’s fabulous!

The Lip gloss I’ve chosen to complete this look is a MAC lipglass.  I honestly don’t know what shade it is, but I love the nude tone to it.

Here’s the finished look!!

I hope you liked this post.
See you Soon,
Georgia Rose

Seattle Photo Diary

Hey Guys,

Here's my Seattle Photo Diary.
I love doing these sorts of Blog posts because looking back on the amazing experiences I have and then trying to share some of my favourite moments with you is awesome.

***

I was only in Seattle for two nights so I only caught a small glimpse of the city, and I spent most of my stay in Downtown Seattle where I was staying.

This is me on our drive from Vancouver to Seattle.

We started our trip with some shopping in Downtown
Seattle's shopping areas.  Mum bought this
awesome coat.

We then had a look at the Pike Place Market.

They were pretty much closed but we got to have a look around, and being indoors
kept us warm .

The next day we went to Boeing.  I don't really have any pictures from our trip there because there is a no photos policy whilst on the tour.  Having said that I wanted to mention it because it was absolutely amazing.

If any of you are in the Seattle/Everett area on vacation I would seriously recommend it, as it's an amazing thing to do.

That night we had dinner at a french restaurant called Cafe Campagne.  This is located in the Pike Place Market area, which was near where we were staying.  I tried the snails and they were actually really, really good.  Adam had soup and chips.

Then for my main I had goats cheese on toasted bread with salad.  Absolutely DELICIOUS.  I loved it.  The salad was lovely but it was nice to have it with the warmth of the toasted goats cheese.
For Dessert Adam and I shared Eggnog Ice cream, which was really nice.

For breakfast the next morning we went to Einstein Bagel Brothers.  I'd never heard of it before, but it was really good.  I had a blueberry bagel with cream cheese.  It was really nice.  I then had a Hot Chocolate.

.
We then wandered back down to the Pike Place Markets.  It was super busy and bustling which was really nice to see.

Here's Adam with a pig that you place donations into to support the markets, and then the next photo is of him next to one of the fish stalls.

Here's another photo of the fish store.  This next photo is of these hand-made and bound notebooks.  They're absolutely gorgeous.  I'll have to buy one next time.

The Pike Place markets have stores selling all different types of foods, this included the beautiful fresh fruit and spreads that they sell.  They all looked amazing.

They also have stores selling clothing, artwork and stationery.  At this gorgeous hat store mum bought a black hat, that is super warm, and she bought me a pair of purple fleece fingerless gloves, which are awesome.   Then, when we exited the Pike Place markets we found ourselves face to face with the world's First Starbucks.

So I had to get my photo there, just to prove I went there.

Here's some more fruit.  How amazing and fresh and yummy does it all look.

Here's a photo of Dad outside the entrance to the markets.

Then we got a drink of Starbucks and started driving back to Vancouver.

This is a monument marking the border of the U.S.A and Canada.
The line was moving slowly so I got out to take some pictures.

The have this little monument.
On one side it's the U.S and on the other side it's Canada.

Then we were back in Canada.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post.

Keep your eyes peeled for my travel posts soon.
