2015 Recap

Hey guys,

because it is now the end of the year I wanted to do a review of what's happened this year.  I'll do it by month and will pick a few memories from each month.

Cheer's to a great 2015 and an even greater 2016!
(Apple Juice and Lemonade anyone)

In January I went to whistler in Canada and had a great time.  I also saw the vamps live in concert at the Hordern Pavilion which was amazing.

I saw McBusted open for One Direction at Allainz Stadium and I saw Mcbusted at their own show at the Metro on George St.  In February my friends and I also held our now-to-be annual Galentines sleepover where we celebrate our single-ness.

In March my friend Jacqui and I went with my parents to see Ed Sheeran live at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.  This was also the month when we went to watch the Super 15, always a highlight for me.

In April, my family and I went to Canberra.  I actually love Canberra and a short city trip is a great holiday escape.  That month was when we also celebrated my Dad's birthday, on ANZAC day (the 25th of April).

May was a quieter month for the social, travelling part of my personality, but it was the month for Da Vinci & Engineering challenges with school.

In June I finished the first semester of year 9, and to celebrate my mum and I went to see Les Miserables.  It was amazing.  The very next day, I jetted off for Japan with my school for our music tour.  That was an experience I will never forget, and Japan was a great place to get to experience alongside some of my closest friends.

In July, I went to the Gold Coast while my dad ran the Gold Coast marathon and while we were up there I got to see some of my extended family which was lovely.

In August at school we skyped an astronaut but the highlight of the month was celebrating my mum's birthday.

September started off slowly but on the 19th we departed the land of Oz again and went to England. This whole trip to the Uk was amazing!  Visiting Bath and Cardiff were amazing and I loved Oxford.

In October our trio continued and I fell in love with Amsterdam.  Upon our return to the UK, I had the time of my life in London, this was where I celebrated my 15th Birthday with friends from primary school.  It was in this time that we visited Cambridge and watched more rugby.

In November I was thrown back into school work, with my first ever Exam block.  It was in November that I completed my Australian Barista Course Certification and started applying to jobs.

Oh, December, what a month it's been.  This month I hit two HUGE milestone's for my blog.  The first 5000 page views is truly incredible and quite extraordinary.  I never quite thought that my blog would reach 2000 let alone 5000 views.  The second milestone was 1000 instagram followers, which is insane and marvellous at the same time.

After school finished and we celebrated Christmas at home my family and I set off for North America, after a two day Pit-Stop in Seattle, USA we've driven up to Whistler in British Columbia ready to start 2016 the same way we started 2015, in the snow.

Thank you all for reading my blog, watching my videos and paying attention to me in 2015.  Have a marvellous new year and may 2016 be an awesome year for all of us.

What I got for Christmas 2015.

Hey guys,

So I know that these are super super popular on Youtube and with lots of other bloggers so I though I'd do a quick little What I got for Christmas Post, featuring most of my Christmas, but not all of them.  This is because I only have photos of presents that I took on Christmas Day.  I thought I'd have more time to take some more photos on Boxing Day but we had a flight to catch.

Quick Disclaimer:  I'm not trying to Brag or Boast, but I know that a lot of people like these sorts of posts.

I've included links to where you can buy these gorgeous items if you wanted too, but there's a couple I couldn't find.

Here we Go:

I got these gorgeous 12 Kikki K Quote & Inspiration Cards
and a Colouring in Book called Indian Serenity from my cousins.

My other cousins got me this amazing 2016 journal, that I can't wait to use!

My little brother got me these two books that I'd put on my Christmas List
The second is The Lost Tudor Princess by Alison Weir, who is one of my favourite authors.

From Santa I got the new Adele CD 25, which is amazing!

From some of my other cousins I got a dusk voucher.
I also got a voucher for Event cinemas and a Myer gift card.

Santa I got the game Articulate, which looks really fun.

My parents gave me this awesome hoodie.
I love it!

My parents got me the Fitbit Flex, which is something I had on my christmas list.
They gave me it alongside a set of other fitbit bands, which is awesome because I can swap them.
It came with a pink band, but I now also have light blue, red and navy.

Thanks for reading this post.
As I'm now away I have a few posts in the works so keep your eyes peeled.

Blogmas Day Three: 7 things to do in the Holidays

Hey guys.  It's Blogmas Day three.  In this post I'm going to share with you guys 7 Christmas related activities to do in the holiday.  As someone who is already on holiday even though it's only December 3rd, I have been trying to come up with fun activities for the holidays and I decided to share them with you.

1. Baking Day.  Baking is fun, and Christmas baking is even more fun, in my opinion.  So my first idea would be a day where you and a friend or two try out some recipes for yummy treats.  They can be Christmassy or they can just be delicious baked goods that you can't cook during Term time.

You might like to try making
- Macaroons

- Recipes from this AMAZING food Blog.

2. Christmas Windows.  Every year most major department stores set up their Holiday windows and I always love them.  One of the best ways to get into the Christmas Spirit is to take a trip into the CBD and have a walk around looking at all the Christmas windows.

3. Visit Santa.  You are never too old to visit Santa.  I think that going to visit Santa is one of the most exciting things to do.  Whether you see him at David Jones, Myer or Luna Park you just have to take a trip to visit Santa at some point this holiday.

4. Christmas Shopping with Friends.  A fun thing to do is to have your friends come over, all write your shopping lists and then go buy all the things you've put on the list for family and friends.  It's always fun shopping with friends and it can be good to have a second opinion on products when you're shopping for others.

5. Have a Christmas movie marathon.  Invite your friends over and have a movie marathon where you watch all the Christmas classics.

Make sure to include:
- Home Alone
- Home Alone 2
- Elf
- The Brady Bunch Christmas Movie
- The Polar Express
- A Christmas Carol
- How the Grinch stole Christmas

6. Make your own Christmas tree ornaments.  Making your own tree ornaments or house decorations is a fun activity for December.  Doing this one with your siblings or friends is a great idea.  You can find plenty of tutorials for this on Pintrest if you're not sure how to go about it.

7. Make a Christmas Playlist and play it all through Decemer (up until and including Christmas Day).  This is the best way to constantly celebrate Christmas cheer throughout the Christmas Countdown.

I hope you enjoyed this post!
Check back tomorrrow for Blogmas Day 4!

Lots of Love,

Blogmas Day Two - What to get your Friends for Christmas!

Hey guys,  I'm back for Blogmas Day Two.

Today's post is a gift guide full of ideas of what you can get your friends for Christmas.  I've tried to include a range of different ideas because I'm sure that your friends are as different and diverse and with differing interests as mine are.

1. Adult Colouring Book.  This is one for the artsy friends, the creative types, you know, the ones who love arts and crafts.  I actually bought this one for a friend of mine in our Secret Santa this year.  I love it because it's a practical size to make a good gift and it's just really pretty.

The one I bought for Jas was Bali art themed but they have loads of really awesome ones that you could choose depending on what your friends likes.

You can buy it HERE!

2. Gift Vouchers.  I know that a lot of people get a little but anti-voucher around Christmas time but to be perfectly honest with you guys, I don't see a problem.  Vouchers are great because they give your friend, the gift receiver ultimate choice.  Especially good for clothing when you might not know what size you have to buy for your friend.

3.  Books.  Ok, I don't really have an explanation for this one.  Books are just great.  And this present is one of my favourites to be on the receiving end of.  These are perfect presents.

4. Notebooks.  Equally as good as novels, notebooks and journals are a phenomenal present.  Pretty and patterned notebooks make great gifts as they are not only incredibly useful but they're also a nice gift.

5. Stationary.  Stationary is a great gift.  It's also a perfect gift to give teenagers because at the end of the day we all need stationary for school.  Brands like Kikki K and Typo make great gifts.

6. Photo Frame.  A personalised gift is always a great idea and a photo frame of you and a friends is a lovely present idea.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and make sure to check back tomorrow for Blogmas Day Three.

See you guys soon,
Georgia Rose
